OPERATING as a single office on the North-West Coast, the new Cancer Council Tasmania building opened its doors recently.
The transition will best meet the organisation’s ongoing business needs.
Cancer Council Tasmania chief executive Penny Egan said the relocation to Ulverstone was a positive move for the people of North West Tasmania.
“We have determined that a single office in Ulverstone, opening four days a week, will best meet our ongoing business needs and increase accessibility to clients and volunteers across the North West,” Mrs Egan said.
“The new address will provide a base for our programs and services, enabling a handy, centralised location for staff and volunteers.”
Mrs Egan said the council would continue to operate a range of support groups and programs in convenient venues across the North West.
“Our transport2treatment service will continue business as usual, operating planned pick-ups daily along the coast,” she said.
“Cancer Council Tasmania is looking forward to developing a presence in Ulverstone.”
The new Cancer Council Tasmania office is at 50 Victoria Street, Ulverstone.

It operates Tuesday to Friday weekly, between 10am and 3pm.
